Composition:
Ceftriaxone 1 gm
Sulbactum 500 mg Injection.
 
 
Ceftriaxone:
  • Parenteral Third Generation Cephalosporin
  • First Choice For Empiric Antimicrobial Therapy
 
Sulbactum:
  • Broder Spectrum Beta-Lactamase Inhibitor Than Clavulanic Acid
  • Sulbactum Binds With Penicillin Binding Protein & Sensitive Strains, Thus They Are More Susceptible To Sulbactum Ceftriaxone Combination Than Ceftriaxone Alone
 
Indication of Ceftriaxone 1 gm, Sulbactum 500 mg Injection.:
  • Treatment Of Nosocomial Infections
  • Surgical Prophylaxis
  • Chronic Supportive Bacterial Otitis Media
  • Osteomyelitis
  • Sexual Transmitted Disease
  • Syphilis
  • Chancroid
  • Post Surgical Infections
  • Respiratory Tract Infections
  • Cholecystitis
  • Meningitis
  • Skin And Soft Tissue Infections Like Cellulitis
  • Gonorrhoea       
  • U.T.I
  • Infections In Dialysis Unit
  • Appendicitis (Complicated By Rupture Or Abscess)
  • Meningitis
  • Septicemia
  • Typhoid
 
Contra-Indications  of Ceftriaxone 1 gm, Sulbactum 500 mg Injection.:
  • Hypersensitivity
 
Drug Interaction  of Ceftriaxone 1 gm, Sulbactum 500 mg Injection.:
  • Disulfiram like reaction with alcohol
 
Side Effects  of Ceftriaxone 1 gm, Sulbactum 500 mg Injection.:
  • Diarrhoea
  • Hypo-prothrombinaemia
  • Pseudo membranous colitis
 
Dosage  of Ceftriaxone 1 gm, Sulbactum 500 mg Injection.:
 1.5 Or 3 Gm given once a day. the total daily dose should not exceed 4 grams.
 
Packaging  of Ceftriaxone 1 gm, Sulbactum 500 mg Injection.:
1.5 Gram Pack with W.F.I with Mono Carton.
